We two excellent opportunities to support our Common Law and Workers Compensation divisions as an experienced Paralegal within our well-established and long serving law firm helping people for over 50 years.

The Role

As a fulltime, Paralegal based in our Southwestern Sydney Office, you will have the opportunity to make a significant and continued impact for our clients.

You will work closely with a team Solicitors and be an integral part of a team delivering outstanding results for our clients.

This is a career opportunity for a person who is self-motivated and wants to continually excel within the legal profession.

Your Duties:

• Work as a team with our Principal, Senior Associates, Associates and Solicitors in successfully managing the day-to-day operations of client matters.

• Assisting with the drafting of specific documents, with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Review administrative aspects of client files for technical accuracy and completeness.

• Liaise and consult with relevant parties – clients, legal services team, Counsel, and managing enquires.

• Preparing all related conference and Hearing documents.

• Ensuring all legal appointments, conferences, and related meetings are efficiently coordinated.

• Provide feedback on the progress of matters to the Principal, Senior Associate, Associate and/or Solicitor.

• Oversee the activities of the junior administrative staff in the legal services team.

About You:

• Proven experience working within the legal industry and / or similar role

• A high-level of emotional awareness and the empathy in dealing with people who require legal assistance

• You must also be an excellent communicator both written and verbal that is present in all your dealings

• Be flexible and have the ability to multitask across all areas of work while working within time frames

• Accurate typing skills with a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of associated products.

• A strong eye for detail in all your document and client management.

• Outstanding client service skills and efficient responsiveness.

• Reliable with a strong work ethic.

The Role:

As a Legal Support Clerk based in our Southwestern Sydney Office, you’ll be part of a dynamic team contributing to our commitment to providing expert legal services and representation to our vast clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who is self-motivated and keen on developing their administrative career within the legal industry.

Your Duties:

• You will prepare and copy all briefs to counsel.

• Be integral in arranging all conferences with counsel.

• Assist in preparing correspondence to the client and counsel.

• Work closely in preparing and updating conference schedules.

• You will diarise scheduled conferences and confirm with clients.

• Carefully arrange files to be couriered to chambers.

• Handling a range of inquiries from internal members of staff.

• General administrative and accounting duties and support as required.

About You:

• You will have up to 2 year’s minimum experience within a similar role within the legal industry.

• A good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of associated products

• A strong eye for detail in all your document management.

• A positive attitude along with a willingness to help and responsiveness.

• You must be an excellent communicator both written and verbal.
