Unfair Dismissal into A Fair Outcome |
Recently, our Commercial Law Team represented a disability support worker in a claim for loss of wages. Our client had been dismissed on the grounds of alleged bullying and breach of company policy. We prepared and lodged an unfair dismissal application with the Fair Work Commission, supported by our argument as to why the dismissal was unjust, harsh and unreasonable. The employer, at least initially, was not prepared to negotiate a reasonable settlement. Following further representations on our client's behalf, we were able to negotiate a settlement in excess of $10,000. In addition, the employer provided a Statement of Service together with a letter confirming our client's resignation.
